Flexibility is your body’s ability to move through complete ranges of motion without obstacle or pain. But there is much more to it than that. Correct ranges of motion can vary from person to person AND depending on the specific needs of the individual due to injury or skeletal structure. These two aspects are directly considered by our flexibility specialists.
True increases in flexibility and range of motion occur when full-range body movement is partnered with strength training. The amount and distance a joint can travel without strength and control will ultimately lead to injury. These elements need to be combined in a methodical and programmed manner so that both systems, muscular and skeletal, are working in harmony with one another.
